- Ferrari was founded in the year 1929 by Enzo Ferrari.

- In 1950 Ferrari founded racing cars at the Monaco Grand prix, which was the first ever formula 1 to be held there.
- In late 1961 problems had started between Girolamo Gardini which was the long time sales manager of Ferrari. The tension between Girolamo, Enzo, and his wife Laura became a very serious issue, especially when Girolamo gave Enzo a choice. Many people who worked or who stood by Ferrari had been ousted. This was a very big deal because they were great assets to the company. Enzo thought it could be the end for him and Ferrari but it was not the case. The workers who had been ousted by Ferrari had started the own company called ATS which immediately created tension as well as competitions.
- V8- powered Shelly Cobra gave Ferrari some difficulties in the early 30s. By the mid 1960's , the company Ford wanted to buy Ferrari but they had never reached an argument.
- Ferrari reached its peek during the 1970's, they were very successful and strong because of Formula 1. Niki Lauda won the world Championship in the years 1975 and 1977. Joey Schetker won the Championship in 1979. Throughout the earlier 80's however, Ferrari as well as the members had entered a time of crisis . The death of Gilles Villeneuve put more of a damper on the crisis which only got deeper.
- In 1988 Enzo Ferrari had died. He was 90 years old. The last commission Enzo had made was the last new model the special F40. Luca Cordero di Montezemolo who was the former sporting director, he was the new president in 1991.
